John 16 23 And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. Whatever happened to John 10 30, I and my Father are one. Has this become a religion of selective service where activities or aid is only provided by a particular diety. In the scriptures Jesus consistently separates himself from God the father but modern day theologians and followers of Jesus selectively combine the three; father, son and Holy spirit to create one God. The early church father Tertullian explicitly defined the trinity as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in one but that wasn't his intended concept for people to follow. As he created his triadic understanding of God not as a triune God three in one, but rather as a triad with three connected people with God as the founding member. His followers created a number of trinitarian formulas but none created a formula to separate God from Jesus on the cross, as triune (three connected Gods) concept but separate. To use the trinity (three in one) as the concept, God and the Holy spirit would have all suffered on the cross.

The trinity is conveniently absent on the cross just to singe-handily give Jesus power by making him an autonomous individual who is capable of self-legislation and is able to make judgments and actions based on his particular responsibilities as God. So they are not put on the cross together. How conveniently it is to select whatever services Jesus can do without God and then conveniently put them together when it was necessary to give Jesus some Godly divinity.
