BLACK HISTORY WEAK

Black History Month, also known as African-American History Month in the U.S., is an annual observance in Canada, Ireland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and the United States. It began as a way for remembering important people and events in the history of the African diaspora.

Our own month has become weak with history. What do we as African Americans really have to offer the world except controversy i.e., Slavery, Blackface, and lynchings.. . Like the Pop and R&B philosopher Prince would say: I just can't believe all the things people say Controversy...

Am I black or white, am I straight or gay? Controversy…

Is Black history only about Tubman, Sojourner, Douglass or King. Why not Black billionaires, regardless of their nationality like Aliko Dangote $14.4 billion, Mike Adenuga, $9.9 billion,

Robert Smith, $4.4 billion, Oprah Winfrey $3.1 billion. Or early African-American scientists, namely mathematician and astronomer Benjamin Banneker and agricultural chemist George Washington Carver, legendary for their intellect and ingenuity.
