BLACKS BLEACHING THEIR HOMES FOR SALE
IT IS A SHAME BLACK PEOPLE HAVE TO BLEACH (depersonalize) THEIR HOME TO SALE
Bleaching a house meaning to neutralize it: (B)lacks (L)ocking (E)verything away with an (A)frocentric (C)onnection to you in the (H)ouse. When I was in the midwest we had a house built in a new development. We only lived in the house for 11 months. When it was time to sell we had to bleach the house leaving no trace of Black occupants.
Blacks are considered subpar occupants regardless of the size of the house. We lived in the most expensive model in the development and we spared no cost on the interior and furniture yet all that meant nothing if they knew we were Black owners. Although depersonalizing a house is normal protocol, bleaching is a step ahead. You give no indication that you are Black not even in the wardrobe closets.
