Because they are related to mindset, it also helps to understand attitudes and beliefs. Culture refers to the shared values, beliefs and norms of a specific group of people. Culture, therefore, influences the manner which we learn, live and behave. Because of this, many theorists believe that culture is an important shaper of our personality. Being many have a cultural mindset they only have the capability to read about God but not personally theorize about God because their mind is retooled for only incorporating others beliefs. Therefore when it comes down to the mind rising beyond religious dogma it cannot escape the weighted down realms of religion about God. Therefore a cultural mindset is a hindrance to your own theology.
