DEAD ANCESTORS HAVE A LOT OF EARTHLY GOOD AS YOUR ANGELS

First, let me say this; if they are not in hell they can help you on earth? Venerating

deceased ancestors who are considered still a part of the family and whose spirits are believed to have the power to intervene in the affairs of the living.

The veneration of the dead, that includes one's ancestors, is based on love and respect for the deceased. In some cultures including our own African culture, it is related to the

beliefs that the dead have a continued existence, and may possess the ability to influence the fortune of the living.

Ancestor reverence is not the same as the worship of a deity or deities. In some Afro-diasporic cultures, ancestors are seen as being able to intercede on behalf of the living, often as messengers between humans and the gods. As spirits who were once human themselves, they are seen as being better able to understand human needs than would a divine being. If you believe in heaven you must continue to believe in freewill. Your ancestors should be a part of an open-door policy where they can freely leave and enter heaven because it is not a prison.

When you need guidance your ancestors are there to freely give it. When you need protection your foreparents are there. They are there to protect their grandchildren on earth. In the African cultures, this act of worship does not confer any belief that the departed ancestors have become some kind of deity and replaced Jesus and Allah. Rather, the act is a way to respect, honor and look after ancestors in their afterlives as they look after you and the family as well and to seek their guidance as living descendants.
