EDUCATED GUESS V. FAITH
The Civil Writer Magazine
What is an educated guess? An educated guess is based on empirical knowledge and experience therefore they will surmise a bridge as an example to be unsafe based upon knowledge. Faith on the other-hand is a complete trust or confidence in the bridge assuming God gave the OK regardless of the bridge's nonconstructive look. If you and two other people are at a bridge and you need to cross; the one with faith may likely cross with you with an apparent belief from God but the other with an educated guess may refuse to cross with you.
Faith is far from using intelligence because it is an assume assurance from God without forethought. Faith is not knowledge but a feeling. An educated guess is using knowledge and some experience. To not go with faith doesn't upset God if intelligence intercedes, because some people are stalwarts loyal supporters of faith without putting some faculty of consciousness and thought into the situation.
