FROM A MAN'S POINT OF VIEW

The Civil Writer Magazine

Lord knows I love me some Michelle. She and Barrack have shown nothing but class for eight solid years by putting up with Ape to Z, from mammy to monkey and yet they sought the high road. Remember "when they go low you go high". Meaning “‘Going high’ doesn’t mean you don’t feel the hurt, or you’re not entitled to an emotion,” she explained. “It means that your response has to reflect the solution. Had it been me, and by the way God isn't out to lunch on me, I would have cussed somebody out.

Now, let me get to the point. Michelle has gone from First Lady of pageantry to outfitable. Outfitable (as a verb) clothes that fit them best and suit their body shape, based on their personal measurements. Now I will give Michelle a pass on the canary yellow dress she had on at her event but from a man's point of view the boots were a little buckwild coming from eight years of being pinned-up in the White House. Now for my white brothers and sisters buckwild an (African American Vernacular, slang) means crazy, unrestrained, uncontrolled.

Ok, let's be real could you see Alma Powell the wife of military and political figure Colin Powell with a long lengthy white fur on? She is the wrong generation for the boots.

It is the optics of it all because I don't believe Michelle would wear them for an event without getting paid. Now, I believe Michelle was probably paid handsomely for wearing those boots and if that is the case I will withdraw my displeasure for her simply "getting paid".

She will always be the Black society's First Lady and many of us don't want to see all that get mixed up with styles and labels. Afterall she has a lot of young children who adores her around the world.
