We are to believe that what should be ethical to us may not be ethical to God and what is considered science to us is not science to God. We try to follow God with a finite mind applying reasons and deductions to come up clueless to an omniscient entity. As an example if God stuck to the script fire should not survive submerged in water because combustions needs oxygen H2O to take place which is the most abundant element on earth. But what about oxygen O2 in water absent of hydrogen how can fire burn underwater under conditions that could be as cold as a refrigerator.

Water is made up of oxygen and hydrogen on land. Hydrogen is flammable, but oxygen is not. Under water there is just oxygen O2 and not hydrogen. However you can, break water down into hydrogen and oxygen by putting energy into it, in the form of a combustible that will mix with water. Normally, water puts out a fire by stopping two of the three parts of the fire triangle - oxygen, heat, and fuel.

Oxygen is harder to get out of water, and the water sucks away the heat. But if the fuel has its own oxidizer, it doesn't need it from the environment, so the water isn't going to stop it. And if it's hot enough, water can't suck away the heat. Or the fire can rip oxygen out of the water when for instance there is an underwater volcano eruption.

This scenario is why we cannot apply our human intelligence to try and comprehend God acts and ways because there is no script to detail God's wonders.
