IF SHE WAS DARKER SHE WOULDN'T BE AS SUCCESSFUL
The Civil Writer Magazine
Come on negroes there are some truths to that statement that lightskin can make a difference. No darkskinned R&B singers male or female have captured the world like MJ and Beyonce and Jay Z. Look at all the top contenders of R&B and rap; they are all fair or lightskinned men and women. Light skin doesn't fend off racism but racism is not as tight, constricted upon lighter skin people . To be lightskinned shows some pretentiousness by the skin showing greater importance, talent, culture, etc., than is presumably possessed in darker skin people. It shows a relationship with the white oppressors therefore to assumely be smarter and more intelligent than their darker African counterparts. Travel the world and see for yourself that the lighter skin people in any melaninated race are treated different and have better jobs.
