The origin of firearms began with gunpowder and its invention, most likely from China, more than 1,000 years ago 986 years after Christianity and 300 years after Islam were created. Once countries became sovereign and they replaced the sword as their weapon of choice with guns and inacted gun laws and policies (collectively referred to as firearms regulation or gun control) other foreign nations and their religions became challenged and were no longer forced upon others at the point of a sword therefore many nations i.e., Rome Italy and Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia were incapable of enforcing their Gods on sovereign nations. Many countries equipped their military with firearms but had restrictive firearm policies for the citizens and foreigners. It is not a pleasant aspect of the Christian religion, but one nonetheless that teaches us a great deal about human potential for war and solidifies the Christian religion's existence by a weapon. Christianity had the backing of the military forces of the Roman empire to conquer other nations by the sword to simply convert them from their tribal and regional religions to Christianity. Most historians believe that Islam originated in Mecca and Medina at the start of the 7th century CE, approximately 600 years after the founding of Christianity and expanded around the world by the sword. The expanding of Islam came with an army mostly infantry and some cavalry forces but with them came followers to spread the Islamic religion around the world by the sword. It is not that there are no new concepts of Gods but man has ran out of ideas and ways to conquer foreign nations with their religions therefore having no place to put their newly discovered Gods man has accepted the religious powers to be. Past religions had no power unless it was backed up by power of the sword but in recent history religions have been detoured and stymied by the gun. The world has no more developing nations in need of a God or religion unless the people deep in the Amazonian jungle are sought out and converted. And if that be the case once again those hidden people might have to be conquered by the gun against their ancient arrows.

And if there is any religion to reach those people in the jungles of South America it will be Christianity rather than Islam by their proselytizing with clothes, food and medicines hopefully without the gun.
