THE BOY WHO HARNESSED THE WIND Based on a book by William Kamkwamba and Bryan Mealer

I was watching a movie on Netflix about a 13-year-old boy thrown out of the school he loves when his family can no longer afford the fees. He sneaks into the library and learns how to build a windmill to save his village from a famine. Initial release: January 25, 2019. A young boy had a thought by watching a school teachers's bike generate a light by the wheels generating elextricity through a dynamo. A dynamo is an electrical generator that creates direct current using a commutator. The hidden story is, the young boy harnessed all this hope, dreams, and intelligence that could go nowhere without his resistant father coming to terms with the son's motivation. When the father came to terms with the possibility of having a working well for the dry season and the harvest he reluctantly jump on board and gave his son his bike for a needed component. Conclusion: The windmill the son created pumped the well for water which gave life to the land, a fruitful harvest, and money for survival. Help your children believe in themselves.
