GoFundMe allows users to create their own website to raise money. This sight, allows members to raise money for good and bad things according to how its identified regardless of the amount they hope to raise. Once the website is created, GoFundMe allows users to share their project with people through integrated social network links (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) and email. People can then donate to a user's cause through the website using a debit card or credit card and track the progress of their funding. Those who donate can also leave comments on the website in support of the project. If the user receives no donations, then no charge is made. Payment processors collect 2.9% and $.30 from each GoFundMe transaction.

Many uses GOFUNDME from A to Z not excluding racism. In 2015, GoFundMe announced that the site would no longer support legal defense funds on their platform. The news came after the site suspended funding for the defense of Sweet Cakes by Melissa, a bakery that was fined for refusing to bake a cake for a same-sex wedding.

GoFundMe to refund the $20 million raised for the border wall. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh on the bench, has declined nearly $600,000 that was donated to him for defense.

There are some success stories for Black people receiving donations but more often it is a bust especially if there is any indications that you are Black. There have been millions of dollars raised for white identifiable causes like: Saving Eliza is a campaign about Eliza O'Neill started by Eliza's father Glen. Eliza is a 5-year-old girl diagnosed with Sanfilippo syndrome, a form of childhood Alzheimer's. Over 37,100 donors have made contributions. Had that been 'Saving Imani, Ebony, Shanice,

Aaliyah, Precious or Nia, she would have been financially hanging by a thread or dead.

For Black people it can be a GOSHUNME process unless it has a compelling background like the GoFundMe page after the killing of a black security guard Jemel Robinson who was subduing a suspected gunman and was shot by cops after everybody was screaming out, 'Security!' He was a security guard," it crossed six figures, $121,000.

I am not saying you should not do GOFUNDME but keep in mind that if you are Black it won't bankroll your cause and to be exact, it might not roll at all.
