WHY DO MEN HAVE AFFAIRS...... IT IS BIBLICALLY PERMITTED FOR THE INTENTION TO MARRY
The Civil Writer Magazine
From a religious point of view, "The bible shows over 36 named men who had more than one wife." In cultures which practice polygamy affairs are necessary for the pursuit of a wife. Meaning having multiple wives is permitted but being poor and a polygamist is prohibited. You must be able to support each wife and the children produced by those unions. Under Islamic law marital jurisprudence must be applied under reasonable and warranted conditions. A Muslim man may have more than one wife at the same time, up to a total of four. Muslim women are not permitted to have more than one husband at the same time under any circumstances. In Buddhism, marriage is not a sacrament it is purely a secular affair and the monks do not participate in it, although in some sects priests and monks do marry. Hence it receives no religious sanction. The Torah contains a few specific regulations that apply to polygamy, such as Exodus 21:10: "If he take another wife for himself; her food, her clothing, and her duty of marriage, shall he not diminish." "Raba said: a man may marry wives in addition to the first wife; provided only that he possesses the means to maintain them." Therefore it is a biblically accepted practice.
